47608 departs from Blackburn.
Due to engineering work on the WCML between Preston & Carlisle, all services were diverted via Blackburn, Hellifield & the Settle to Carlisle route, during weekends in the spring of 1988.
Class 47, 47608 climbs away from Daisyfield Junction at Blackburn, and is seen crossing the arches at Beechwood Road with a London Euston to Glasgow Central Service on the 11th March 1988.
