03008 at Swindon Works.4 megtekintés21 years after being constructed, Class 03 03008 has returned to the famous A Shop at Swindon Works for one final visit to the workshop where it emerged new as D2008 in January 1958. The loco had been withdrawn from Cambridge Depot on New Years Eve 1978 and sent back to its birthplace for stripping and component recovery. Within a month of this picture taken in February 1979, 03008 ceased to exist. Which phillistines allowed this grand building to slip away in an orgy of destruction in the name of progress?
