For many years this unit had been a three car set working off Newton Heath Depot on Manchester Victoria to Blackpool North Services. Class 08, 08525 at York.1 閲覧On August 5th 1978 a rather work weary looking 08525 was parked in the goods yard at York between duties. The loco would now be standing in what is the station car park! A routine sight at the time, in the background is a BR 20 ton brake van and a newly liveried Commer Rail Express Parcels Van. 35 years on, in September 2013, 08525 is still employed on the main network as one of the shunters at Neville Hill Depot, Leeds resplendant in the bright East Midlands Trains livery.

Class 306 EMUs at Leicester (GC).2 閲覧Dating from 1949, former Liverpool St-Shenfield Class 306 EMUs, 055, 033, 083 & 078 wait at the entrance to Vic Berrys Scrapyard at Leicester on July 19th 1982. The location is adjacent to the former Great Central Main Line, that last saw a passenger train in 1969 when the DMU service between Rugby and Nottingham was withdrawn. Upperton Road bridge that once spanned the extensive trackwork at this location, was demolished in 2007 - yet another bit of the infrastructure of the old GC Main Line lost forever.2015年 02月 13日
