Warship 818 at Swindon Works.5 zobrazeníThe lost Warship. After being withdrawn from active service in 1972, Class 42 Warship, 818-'Glory' was 'preserved' at Swindon Works, and over the years became a gate guardian usually on display near the turntable, in full view from passing trains on the main line. The closure of Swindon Works, announced in GWR150 year, saw the planned exhibition at Swindon Works cancelled, and in 1986 as the rundown of the works began, 818 was put to the torch.
