153316 Barrow Haven.0 megtekintésNorthern Rail Class 153,153316 arrives at Barrow Haven with the 11.58 Barton On Humber to Cleethorpes service on the 23rd April 2011. The single platform station is in a lonely spot, close to the South bank of the River Humber.

33107 on the Weymouth Harbour Tramway.1 megtekintésThe Ford Granada gets out of the way as Class 33/1, 33107 heads along Commercial Road at Weymouth. The Boat Train from London Waterloo was passing the bus depot, and slowly making its way to the Harbour Station at walking pace on May 30th 1986.

175010 departs Deganwy.0 megtekintésWith the Afan Conwy as a backdrop, 175010 leans to the curve as it approaches Sefton Terrace Footbridge at Deganwy with the 17.00 Llandudno Junction to LLandudno service on the 8th April 2012.

142047 at Ribby Hall, Kirkham.1 megtekintés142047 approaches Kirkham North Junction returning off the coast line from Blackpool South with a service to Colne on April 13th 1991. In the foreground is derelict Mark 2C Coach M19543. Originally destined for use with Northern Ireland Railways following withdrawal from BR service, the former 1st Class coach was damaged en-route and subsequently vandalised beyond repair. The coach was condemed at Kirkham and spent some considerable time stood on the stub of what had been the former Down Line to the coast.

47217 at Rufford.1 megtekintés47217 with an engineers train at Rufford, A view taken from the steps of the doomed Signal Box on November 13th 1988. This was the second of two weekends that saw the level crossing gates replaced by barriers, and the points were converted to spring operation, with the signals being replaced with colour lights. The Saxby & Farmer Signal Box dating from 1875 was decommissioned and control was transferred to a portable cabin on the station. The brake van behind the loco was a BR 20 Ton ZTO, number DB954159.

47226 at Midge Hall - Preston to Ormskirk Line.1 megtekintésMuch activity at Midge Hall at 8am on Sunday 5th May 1991. The engineers train, 8L64 had run from Preston Dock Street and was recovering scrap track materials from the former up line that was retained from Farington Curve Jct to Midge Hall until 1983. Even the dog from the Midge Hall pub has come along to help. The train consist was a pair of Chub wagons - DB787241 & DB787260, a Sealion Hopper - DB982828 & Sturgeon flat wagon DB994121. There was also some patch ballasting being done hence the Sealion.

DRS 37604 approaches Burscough.0 megtekintésDRS 37604 brings up the rear of the Pathfinder Tours 'Lancs Links' from Crewe on March 7th 2015. The train is passing Low Meadow Farm on the approach to Burscough.

EPS 37601 - Folkestone Harbour.0 megtekintésAs the tide begins to come in, 37601 sits on the viaduct at Folkestone Harbour with the Pathfinder Tours 'Atomic Harbourmaster' railtour on October 20th 2007. Out of sight at the other end of the train was fellow EPS class 37, 37603. This was one of the last diesel hauled trains to traverse this line. The itinerary on that day included a trip along the Dungeness Branch. It was a long day - an 06.15 start from Crewe on Saturday morning and only getting back to Crewe at 01.24 on Sunday morning!2015. December 10.
